University of Nebraska Monopoly Just like the original Monopoly, but the properties are uniquely Nebraska. Coaches, university buildings, landmarks, and more. Great fun for serious Husker fans. |

Harry Husker Playing Cards Double set of playing
cards circa 1970, manufactured by Brown & Bigelow, St. Paul, MN. On my
set, the 10 through Ace are yellowed (antiqued?) while the Jokers and 2-9
cards are brighter, which gives the deck a layered look when you put the cards
in order by suit. Pretty neat. I would guess that these decks were
(originally) put out between 1965 and 1973 (period when Harry
was officially used). If anyone has any more info, please let
me know.

Omaha World Herald Harry Husker Playing Cards This is a complete guess on the time-frame, but probably late 1970s or early 1980s. Though Harry Husker was no longer the official mascot starting in 1973 when Tom Osborne took over the reigns as head coach from Bob Devaney (Herbie took over, too!) Harry was still in use in different forms by local newspapers and such well into the early 1980s.. Thanks to Dan Wagner for the contribution!
